The Case Files

Real stories. Real documents. Real harm.
Ontario’s real estate system is failing to protect consumers — and no one’s keeping score. So we are.

Files and Packages

What Are the Case Files?

The Case Files are a growing library of documented incidents where buyers, renters, or small landlords were:

  • Denied access to homes for refusing to sign contracts

  • Pressured into Buyer Representation Agreements (BRAs)

  • Given the wrong lease forms — often missing key tenant protections

  • Misinformed or manipulated by licensed agents

  • Stonewalled by regulators

Each file is backed by written evidence — not hearsay — and highlights specific misuse of OREA forms, misapplication of Form 244, or violations of consumer protections under Ontario law.

If it’s happening to one person, it’s happening to many.
These aren’t “one-off” mistakes — they’re patterns. And patterns demand accountability.

Real estate regulators and associations rarely investigate unless pressure builds. We believe public documentation is pressure.

Your story may help others — and may reveal larger patterns across brokerages or regions. If you’ve been:

  • Denied a showing

  • Forced to sign paperwork you didn’t want

  • Given incorrect or missing legal documents

  • Or misled by an agent about your rights
